May 2016 Grants Awarded

The OPS Foundation approved two grants totaling $3,700 on May 11. The Kids Oasis after-school program received $2,500 for their playground restoration.  The funds will go towards their $20,000 project goal.  Kids Oasis serves 60 students, 250 days a year.

The Foundation also awarded $1,200 to Jennifer Jones for the Ogallala Reaches for the Stars program.  The funds will be used to purchase a telescope for the new Astrnomy class.

Approximately $27,700 has been awarded to District Staff members since the Foundation began awarding grants.
