2019 Grants

Grants

During the 2018-19 school year, nine grants were awarded to teachers.  These grants included a request from the high school principal to reward students who perform community service within the school building after school hours such as operating lights and sound in the Performing Arts Center for community programs.

Five high school teachers requested grants for their curricular programs in Science, Language Arts, Media Center, Family Consumer Science, and school climate activities performed by the leadership Class.  These grants totaled nearly $5000 for the first semester.

Prairie View School received $2000 in grant funds to enhance books with authors and illustrators and grow the selection of Caldecott books for use in the third grade.

The Middle School students at Prairie View received a $600 grant to attend the movie Wonder at the Prairie Twin Theater in Ogallala after completing projects that emphasized the importance of respect and kindness towards all classmates.
