What is Kids Oasis?

Kids Oasis is a 21st Century Community Learning Center Program supported in part by federal funds, Title IV-part B ESEA Act.

The primary objectives of Kids Oasis are:

  1. Enhancing student achievement, specifically in reading and math

  2. Fostering social benefits and  positive behavior

  3. Strengthening family and community involvement in student education

Kids Oasis offers homework help, physical movement, computer skills, STEM-based learning, and a snack.

Who is eligible to enroll in Kids Oasis?

Any student enrolled in Kindergarten through 5th grade, within Ogallala Public Schools (Prairie View, Saint Paul's, Saint Luke's).

When does Kids Oasis run?

The Kids Oasis after-school program operates from August to May (183 days), running from 3:30-6:00  pm Monday through Thursday, and 1:30-5:30 pm on Fridays and early dismissal days.

The summer program, running from June and July (40 days), takes place Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm,  including breakfast and lunch. 

Where is Kids Oasis?

Kids Oasis takes place at 601 West 9th Street Ogallala, NE.

OPSD offers transportation to Kids Oasis for all students who are enrolled in the after-school program (transportation is not offered during summer months).
