Mrs. Sudbeck's middle school enrichment science class conducted a hands-on dissection of multiple species, carefully observing and analyzing the internal body systems such as the circulatory, digestive, and respiratory systems. Students engaged in detailed comparisons and contrasts between the anatomical structures of each species, noting differences in organ size, placement, and function while discussing how these variations adapt to each species’ environment and lifestyle. This in-depth exploration allowed students to deepen their understanding of biology and develop practical skills in scientific observation and analysis. We love getting to see our students deepen their understanding through hands-on activities!

At the September OPSD School Board meeting, the board honored 3 model students and one dedicated staff member! These students & staff have shown what it means to do things “The OG Way.” They are risk-takers in and out of the classroom, show grit in all they do, and take ownership of their learning. We are so proud of our September students of the month, Luis Ramirez Macias (elementary), Axel Gutierrez (middle grades), Ian Brunkhorst (high school), and staff of the month, Mike Copeman! Keep up the great work! We greatly appreciate our community sponsors for donating prizes for these individuals to honor their accomplishments! #GoBigO #OGIndians #TheOGWay #CultureOfConfidence
