The 2023 Homecoming is planned for October 9th-13th! The OHS theme for the week is "Friday Night Frights!" The dress-up days are as follows: Monday: Dress like Hubie (Adam Sandler) Tuesday: Twin Day Wednesday: Dress like your Favorite Scary Movie Character Thursday: Dress like a Famous Mike Friday: Black, Orange, & White (Halloween/OG Spirit) The OMG & PVE dress-up days are as follows: Monday: PVE- Glo Big O (neon colors) OMG- Pink out Tuesday: PVE & OMG- Teachers VS. Students (teachers dress as students & students dress as teachers) Wednesday: PVE- Wacky Wednesday (crazy clothes) OMG- Adam Sandler Day Thursday: PVE- Twins, Triplets... OMG- Soccer Mom VS. BBQ Dad Friday: PVE & OMG- School Spirit Colors OHS Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, October 13th, at 2:00 PM in downtown Ogallala. OG FB is on a roll!!! The team captured a phenomenal 34-14 win over the McCook Bison! Ogallala Stadium was rocking tonight! 👏🏼 The team will be in action again next Friday in Chadron. Let's go, O!

The OHS FBLA officers, President Lake McClure, Vice President Aelyn Cain, Secretary Alivia Rodriquez, and Treasurer Charlie Nielsen, went to Kearney on Tuesday to attend the Nebraska FBLA Fall Leadership Conference. They learned about ways to grow and run a chapter and took home some ideas on how we can make Ogallala FBLA great! We are proud of our students for taking a leadership role in the chapter! #CultureOfConfidence

At the September OPSD School Board meeting, the board honored 3 model students and one dedicated educator! These students & staff have shown what it means to do things “The OG Way.” They are risk-takers in and out of the classroom, show grit in all they do, and take ownership of their learning. We are so proud of our September students of the month, Boyd Hartman (elementary), Easton Knispel (middle grades), Jorge Carrizales (high school), and teacher of the month, Mindy Heilman! Be sure to join the Ogallala Education Association for their annual tailgate! The tailgate will take place at the OHS Football Field on Sept. 29th from 6:00 - the end of the 1st quarter. It will be $8 for adults & $6 for students. On the menu are brats, burgers, beans, salads, desserts, chips, & drinks! We hope to see you there!
