✏️🖍📚Kindergarten Registration is open NOW at Prairie View School!📚🖍✏️ If your child will be 5 by July 31, 2023, they are old enough to attend Kindergarten for the 2023/24 school year. Come in Monday-Friday from 9 am-3 pm to register. Bring their State Certified Birth Certificate and current immunization records. Your child must be registered to participate in Kindergarten Round-Up, which will take place in April. Kindergarten Round-Up is a very important part of getting your child ready for Kindergarten! OPSD is excited to announce that John O'Neil will be Ogallala High School Principal for the 2023/24 school year! Mr. O'Neil has been a loyal member of OPSD for 17 years. We cannot wait to see all he will accomplish in this position! #CultureOfConfidence

Ogallala Girls Basketball played a hard fought battle in the first round of subdistrict play. Unfortunately the team came up short in OT, 44-51. This team displayed GRIT and dedication throughout the entirety of their season. We are proud of you!

This past month, you may have seen Goldendoodle Gibbs walking around the school with his handler, Middle Grades School Counselor, Jill Max. Last week they officially passed their Alliance of Therapy Dogs Certification test. Gibbs will be coming to school a couple of times a week to help regulate emotions and allow everyone he comes in contact with to feel good. Did you know that research shows that simply petting a dog... 🐾 lowers the stress hormone cortisol, 🐾 lowers heart rate & blood pressure 🐾 increases levels of the feel-good hormone oxytocin 🐾 stimulates memory & increases problem-solving skills 🐾 increases empathy, compassion & self-esteem
