Our Prairie View Ambassadors are proud to lead a project focused on Kids with Character! This month, we highlighted ⭐️RESPECT⭐️ by reaching out to community members who make a difference every day. As a token of our appreciation, our students presented donuts and a thank-you letter to our local police officers. After observing respectful behaviors all month, the Ambassadors also selected one student who stood out as a role model, naming her the winner of our Kids with Character program. We are so proud of ⭐️Elise Samuelson⭐️ for being selected as our RESPECT winner and for representing the values of our school community! #CultureOfConfidence

At the October OPSD School Board meeting, the board honored 3 model students and one dedicated staff member! These students & staff have shown what it means to do things “The OG Way.” They are risk-takers in and out of the classroom, show grit in all they do, and take ownership of their learning. We are so proud of our October students of the month, Lily Wood (elementary), Riggs O'Neil (middle grades), Bradyn Heilman (high school), and staff of the month, Nichole Doherty! OHS XC runner, Sawyer Laflan competed at the State Meet yesterday! Sawyer ran hard and earned a 24th place finish (out of 116 runners)! We are so proud of the season you've had, Sawyer! 👏🏼 #CultureOfConfidence

OHS Football hit the road for their last regular season game. The team traveled to Alliance and came home with a shut out!! They took down the Bulldogs 36-0! What a great conclusion to the regular season. We are proud of you!!! 👏🏼 #CultureOfConfidence

💭Did You Know?💭 Students are not allowed to have cell phones in the classroom. WHY? We find that this helps increase engagement tremendously! #CultureOfConfidence

School Resource Officer Molzahnand Middle School Counselor, Jill Max, presented to all middle schoolers on internet safety. Officer M presented on the legal and logistical side of internet safety, while Mrs. Max presented on the social/emotional side of internet safety. The pair was able to make a lasting impact on the students! #CultureOfConfidence

Prairie View School will be hosting Wellness Spirit Week on October 28-31. Students are invited to partipcate in the themed dress up days! ◆Marvelous Monday - Favorite Super Hero ◆Thoughtful Tuesday - Bright attire to brighten someone's day ◆Wellness Wednesday - Take care of mind & body, wear workout gear ◆Thursday - It's ok to be different! Mismatched clothing, socks, & shoes We are excited to see our students participate in all the fun themes!

💭Did You Know?💭 We have 2nd chance breakfast served for both middle school and high school students. WHY? If students miss breakfast, they can grab a quick "to-go" snack on their way to class! #CultureOfConfidence

OHS Cross Country will have Sawyer Laflan represent them and run at the State Meet in Kearney!! We want to invite the public to send Sawyer off and wish him well! 2nd grade had their Family Folk Night at the Auditorium tonight! They had so much fun dancing and singing with classmates and family! Thank you Jody Ziola for another wonderful concert!

💭Did You Know?💭 OHS tracks missing assignments every Tuesday and Friday to help students stay on top of their school work. The average amount of students that attend Friday focused study hall this year has been 76 students each Friday! #CultureOfConfidence

The Purple Pinky Project is happening THIS WEEK! The program is put on by the Ogallala Interact Club! For just $1, which is the cost of a single polio immunization, students can dip their pinkies and help to eradicate polio! 📆October 24th at OHS Commons Area 📆October 25th at Prairie View Cafeteria ⏰7:30-8:00 a.m. We hope to see you there! #CultureOfConfidence

This team meets monthly with the superintendent to give their input on what their experiences have been as parents and gives input to help improve the systems and processes that are in place.
