As part of their onboarding to the district, new teachers spent a day with our administrators learning about the Culture Of Confidence at OPSD! #CultureOfConfidence

Thanks to the generosity of the Ogallala community, individuals, businesses, and organizations, the School Supply Drive was able to hand out fully stocked backpacks to 114 students and have an additional 20 backpacks prepared for students that will need supplies throughout the year. This feat is made possible by the organization and dedication of the people at Wolf Auto, Ogallala Rotary Club, Lake Mac Rotaract, OHS Interact, Lore Beckius, Nancy Armstrong, and countless other individuals.

❗️⚫️ Calling all OHS Graduates in the education field 🟠❗️ Ogallala Education Association is offering a $1,000 scholarship for an OHS Graduate that is going to be completing their student teaching during the 2023/24 school year. If interested, contact Rosa Zimmerman for an application. Applications are due September 30th. #CultureOfConfidence

OHS VB hosted their scrimmage tonight! It was great to see the team in action. We can't wait for them to kick off their season next Thursday, August 24th at home against Chase County! 🖤🏐🧡

OHS VB is hosting their snack scrimmage tonight! The team will be playing at the PV Gym, starting at 6:00. We hope to see you there!

OHS Football will host their Gatorade Scrimmage this Friday at 7:00 PM at Ogallala Stadium. Please bring a sports drink as admittance into the game. We hope to see you there! #CultureOfConfidence

Prairie View Elementary did a collective resume activity to kick off their last Pre-Service day! Take a look at these amazing teams and their accomplishments! PVE has a total of 510 years of experience in education! There is so much knowledge and experience in this building! We can’t wait to see our students tomorrow!

Middle School volleyball is right around the corner! There will be a meeting on August 16th at 11:30 AM at the PV Gym. Practices will begin on August 17th (after school). The PVE PBIS Team met earlier this week. The team creates common expectations, rewards positive behavior, and brainstorms strategies to improve our current systems. We are ready to kick off the school year!

⚫️🟠Attention all incoming PV 7th & 8th-grade middle schoolers🟠⚫️ Junior High Football Practice will be starting August 14th & 15th from 6 - 7:30 pm. Regular practice will be right after school, starting Wednesday, August 16th. We hope to see you there!

OHS Volleyball will be hosting its annual scrimmage on August 17th at 6:00 pm in the Prairie View Gym. The admission into the scrimmage is a package of snacks rather than Gatorade! The team will use the snacks for weekend tournaments, road games, after practice, etc. Some of the snacks that have been requested are granola bars, protein bars, pretzels, crackers, peanut butter crackers, etc. We hope to see you there!

We want to take a moment to thank the OPSD Custodial Staff! This team keeps our facilities in tip-top shape! Over the summer, the staff spends time painting, waxing ALL tile floors, shampooing ALL carpets, and delivering orders, to name a few things. THANK YOU for all you do!
