Did you know that in the last month, students at Prairie View Elementary have had the good fortune to try kiwi, pears, celery, bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and bananas (to name a few)?! This opportunity is part of the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, a grant funded by the USDA. Prairie View Librarian Mrs. Armstrong teaches a STEAM class. Each class goes once every three weeks. The students can engage with many different materials, be risk-takers, and try new things! These students showcased their building skills (it appears we've got some future engineers)!

During the month of October, Mrs. Hesser’s 2nd-grade students worked hard writing haunted house stories. This week, the students had the opportunity to showcase their work by shutting off the lights and using a flashlight to read their stories to their classmates!

As a way to celebrate World Kindness Day and American Education Week, Prairie View Elementary Ambassadors provided a coffee cart for our staff! The students brought tons of smiles! Thanks for all you do!

On Tuesday, OHS Unified Bowling competed vs North Platte in a dual! OHS placed 1st & 2nd & tied for 3rd! The first-place team was Ethan A., Joshua C., & Austin H., scoring 842. 2nd place was the team of Christian E., Bradyn H., & Ayden B., scoring 640. #CultureOfConfidence

Veterans Day was celebrated with OHS Unified Bowling team bowling against North Platte,South Platte, Scottsbluff, and Gorden-Rushville. Ogallala Team 2, with Joshua C., Christian E., Austin H., and Isaac O. placed third! 🥉

Mrs. Max's 1st-grade students had the opportunity to show what they learned in their science module by creating models of plant and animal defenses (spikes, camouflage, and shells). The students then had the opportunity to present their model to the class! We love this hands-on style of showing what they learned!

OHS Interact is partnering with Ogallala Rotary Club and Lake Mac Rotaract to facilitate the Purple Pinky Project! Students can "Donate, Dip, & Destroy" on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 7:30-8:00 at the PV Cafeteria!
