Champ. Round 1 - Tyra Lewis (Ogallala Girls) 20-4 won by fall over Madalyn Pistulka (West Holt Girls) 38-18 (Fall 4:35)
Tyra was down 0-8 in the 3rd period. She was in the bottom referee's position and was able to get a reversal and secure a pin shortly after!
Quarterfinal - Jordyn Campbell (Yutan Girls) 50-0 won by fall over Tyra Lewis (Ogallala Girls) 20-5 (Fall 0:28)
Tyra wrestled the #1 seed and fought hard but was pinned in the first period. She will wrestle tomorrow in the consultation rounds.

The OHS Speech team traveled to North Platte to compete this Saturday! This was the second and final competition where the Novice (first-year) speakers performed only against other Novices. It was so fun to see their smiling faces when they received their medals! This Saturday, we will host the meet here at Prairie View! Come out and support our OHS Speakers.

OHS Wrestler, Diego Juarez earned his place as District Runner-Up in the #106 weight class! This punched his ticket to the State Wrestling Tournament! WTG, Diego! We are so proud of you! 👏🏼



Prairie View 1st-graders Will, Teagan, Harper, and Siennah and 2nd-grader Tatum, made a fantastic choice with their PBIS points—they used them to lend a helping hand in the library! These eager students enjoyed pushing the library cart and going on the collection route, checking in books, and making sure they were ready to return to the shelves. Their enthusiasm and teamwork made a big difference—thank you for being such awesome library assistants! #CultureOfConfidence

First-grade students have been reading stories about how animals help people. They read about guide dogs and the important jobs they do. Students then had the opportunity to host special guest speakers Jill Max and Gibbs, Prairie View School Therapy Dog! Mrs. Max and Gibbs took this opportunity to teach 1st-graders about Gibbs’s job as a school therapy dog! It was an engaging and exciting presentation!

Mrs. Van Velson's Transitional Kindergarten class has been working hard on shapes! The students loved this hands-on activity of making shapes with play dough! As they were making each shape, they discussed the attributes of that shape. We love seeing our students highly engaged in their learning!

Mrs. Waitley's 3rd-grade learners have been learning about how scientists use living animals to learn more about dinosaurs by comparing their bones. In one of their recent activities, the students measured their leg length and had to test to see if they could outrun a dinosaur! We love this hands-on and engaging approach to teaching science!

OHS Boys Wrestling competed at the Southwest Conference Wrestling meet on Thursday. The team left it all on the mat and came home with multiple medalists! We are so proud of this team. We can't wait to see what the rest of your season brings!

She selected Green Eggs and Ham and shared the joy of reading with Mrs. VanVelson’s junior kindergarten—her sister’s class!
