We are proud of our OHS Cheer team and their outstanding performance at the Nebraska State Cheer Championships at the Heartland Events Center! The team set a goal to finish the season in the top five in the Game Day category, and they did just that. OHS earned 4th place in the C1 Game Day Small Squad division, a tremendous accomplishment to cap off their season! OHS Girls Basketball came out ready to ROLL tonight! The Lady Indians captured a dominant subdistrict championship win over the Gothenburg Swedes, 66–31. We are so proud of the grit, determination, and heart this team continues to show.

Now it’s on to districts with a trip to the State Tournament on the line. We will share the district championship game details as they become available! Let’s pack the gym and cheer them on all the way! 🏀🤍🖤

Senior Paige Armijo and Junior Aniston Oneil have been putting in the work, and it shows! From early mornings to extra reps, their dedication, consistency, and positive attitudes are setting the standard in the weight room.

He may have performed at Carnegie Hall and even on the White House lawn, but at heart, Steve Lungrin is an Ogallala kid.

From Prairie View Elementary and West 5th to Ogallala Middle School, across from the old gym, Steve’s roots run deep. His dad’s stores, Mr. Shop and Lungrin’s Family Wardrobe, were fixtures on Spruce Street. Summers were spent at North Park watching softball at the Dugout concession stand, cheering on every OHS team, and listening to games on KOGA, where his dad called play by play alongside Jim Thalken.

Now this hometown talent returns to Ogallala as an internationally known singer-songwriter and performer for the Ogallala Regional Arts Council 2025/26 Season.

Join us Sunday, February 22 at 4:00 PM at Willow and Oak Events for an unforgettable afternoon featuring favorites from Billy Joel and Elton John, plus Broadway standouts. Doors open at 3:30. Tickets available at the door.

The stage was set, and our OHS Speakers DELIVERED at the North Platte Speech Meet on Saturday!

Our Varsity team showed up ready to compete and brought home some impressive finishes:
🏅 Carson Roland dominated with a 1st place finish in Persuasive Speaking and also earned 7th in Informative Speaking.
🏅 Zaiden Peterson placed 9th in Serious Prose
🏅 The Oral Interpretation of Drama team of Lily Knoke, Carson Roland, Zaiden Peterson, Nathan Tophoj, and Kanzah Arabi earned an outstanding 3rd place finish.

Our Novice division also had a fantastic showing:
🏅 Ava Fehr earned 2nd place in Humorous Prose.
🏅 Kolston Keiwatt placed 8th in Humorous Prose and brought home 2nd place in POI.

From persuasive arguments to powerful performances, this team continues to raise the bar. We are so proud of the hard work, confidence, and talent they bring to every meet.

Next up: the Ogallala Speech Invite at PV next week, starting at 8:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend and see these incredible speakers in action. Come support our team and experience the energy for yourself!

OHS Sophomore Diego Juarez DOMINATED the mat at the C4 District Wrestling Meet and brought home a 1st Place finish as the 113 lb District Champion! Match after match, Diego battled his way to the top and left no doubt who owns the 113 weight class.

Next stop… OMAHA.

Diego is headed to compete in the NSAA Class C State Wrestling Tournament. Let's cheer him on as he chases state glory!

The OHS Boys Varsity Wrestling Team is headed to Broken Bow this Saturday, February 14th, for the C-4 District Tournament with their sights set on the state tournament. After a season of hard work, dedication, and grit, the Indians will take the mat with one goal in mind: earning their spot at the state tournament.

Let’s rally behind our OHS Wrestling team as they compete in Broken Bow. We are proud of you and cheering you on all the way. Go Big O!
